Privacy policy
Last updated 24 October 2026
BidBucket is run by Mimi Seki, a sole trader in New South Wales (ABN [to be added]). This policy explains what personal information we collect and how we handle it. We aim to follow the Australian Privacy Principles even where the law may not require a business of our size to do so.
What we collect
- When you sign up: your name, work email address, and your trade or the area you work in.
- If you subscribe: billing details, which are handled by our payment provider. We never see or store your full card number.
- Emails you send us, and basic email statistics (for example, whether an email was delivered or opened) so we can make the digest useful and spot delivery problems.
- If we contacted you first: the business email address you published on your own website, the page we found it on, and the date.
How we use it
- To send you the BidBucket digest and messages about your trial or subscription (including a reminder before your trial ends).
- To bill you if you subscribe.
- To reply to you and improve the service.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we don't use it for anything unrelated to BidBucket.
Who we share it with
Only service providers who help us run BidBucket, such as our website host (Netlify), email providers (Zoho, Brevo) and payment processor (Stripe). Some of these store data outside Australia, including in the United States and the European Union. We share only what each one needs to do its job.
How long we keep it
While you're a trialist or subscriber, and for up to 2 years afterwards for records and tax purposes, unless you ask us to delete it sooner and we aren't required by law to keep it. If you unsubscribe from our emails, we keep your address on a suppression list so we don't email you again.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from any email with one click, or by replying "unsubscribe". We act on it straight away and always within 5 business days.
- Ask for a copy of your information, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing hello@bidbucket.site. We'll respond within 30 days.
Security
We use reputable providers with encryption in transit, keep access to our accounts protected with strong passwords and two-factor authentication, and collect as little as we can.
Complaints
If you have a privacy concern, email us first and we'll try to fix it. If you're not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
